Warranty Claim Policy
Puma Sports IndiaPvt. Ltd. is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction. Customers facing genuine issues attributable solely to manufacturing defects with PUMA products may raise a warranty claim in accordance with the policy outlined below.
1. Warranty Coverage
- PUMA products are covered under a 90 day warranty from the date of purchase.
- Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects or if the product fails to contain adequate instructions of correct usage to prevent any harm or any warning regarding improper or incorrect usage.
- The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage due to misuse, negligence, accidents, improper care, or handling
- Material ageing or colour fading
- Size/fit issues
- Improper washing, exposure, or induced damage
- Claims raised after 90 days will not be eligible for warranty.
2. Eligible Purchase Channels
Warranty claims are accepted for PUMA products purchased from:
- PUMA E commerce website I or PUMA App
- Authorized third-party online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart) with PUMA Sports India Pvt. Ltd. Or any other authorized sellers
- PUMA Retail Stores (Offline). This would include own and operated stores and Partner stores.
- Multi Brand Outlets or Large format retail stores (Eg: Foot Locker, Shopper Stop, Lifestyle)
Products purchased from unauthorized sellers or platforms are not eligible for warranty claims.
3. Claim Requirements (All eligible Purchase Channels)
- Clear images of the entire product
- A close-up image highlighting the defect,
- A brief description of the issue
- Copy of the purchase invoice is mandatory. For Puma.com purchases, however, registered mobile number used for the said purchase may be provided as an alternative
- On gift purchases as well, invoice submission is mandatory
All claims are subject to internal quality verification.
Note: Issues related to size or fit are not covered under warranty and must be handled through the applicable return/exchange policy within the original return window.
PUMA Sports India Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to approve, reject, or cancel a warranty claim based on the above criteria.
4. General Warranty Exclusions
Warranty claims will not be accepted for:
- Counterfeit or non-genuine products.
- Products purchased from unauthorized sellers.
- Normal wear and tear, excessive use, or alterations.
- Incorrect usage
- Incorrect size or model selection.
- Damage due to accidents, misuse, negligence, or lack of reasonable care.
- Natural degradation of materials or colour.
- Improper care, induced damage, or harsh exposure.
- Products beyond the 90-day warranty period.
- Socks and bodywear.
- Shoe laces and eyelet damage.
- Manufacturing defect refers to defects arising from material or workmanship flaws represent at the time of production . The defect shall mean that product core functionality not being met with . The Manufacturing defect shall excludes defects caused by normal wear and tear, improper usage, misuse, exposure to unsuitable terrain or activity type, inadequate maintenance or failure to follow care or operating instructions. The decision of Puma India experts regarding manufacturing defect shall be final.
- Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects. Absence or misunderstanding of usage instructions does not constitute grounds for warranty unless mandated by law including statutory rights relating to product safety and product liability.
A product shall be eligible for only one (1) warranty claim during the warranty period. Once a warranty claim has been raised against a product associated with an invoice or order number, no further warranty claims for that product shall be permitted under any circumstances.
5. Claim Submission Process
- Online Purchases (PUMA.com, PUMA App, authorized ecommerce sellers)
Customers may raise a warranty claim through:
- The official PUMA Customer Support Portal, or
- Emailing customercareindia@puma.com (mailto:customercareindia@puma.com)
- Offline Purchases (Stores)
- Warranty claims must be raised at the original store of purchase.
- Claims must be raised at the original store of purchase.
- Customer is requested to provide the proof which shows how much is paid to buy the product. Also, the age of the product from the date of purchase is measured.
- Store inspection will be completed within a stipulated time frame and the same will be communicated to the customer by the store team
- Carry the product and the purchase invoice.
6. Warranty Resolution
A. Online Purchases
If the claim is approved:
- PUMA will arrange pickup of the defective product.
- After successful quality verification, a PUMA Gift Voucher (GV) will be issued for the amount paid.
Gift Voucher Conditions:
- Sent to the customer’s registered email ID after completion of pickup
- Redeemable only on puma.com or the PUMA App
- Non-refundable and non-transferable
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
No direct replacements, exchanges, or cash refunds will be offered for online warranty resolutions.
(PUMA Retail Stores & other multi-brand and large format stores)
If the claim is approved, the store will follow its storespecific warranty guidelines.
- A customer coming with a return request of a product, can opt for either exchange or refund against the returned product. Below are the various scenarios of product return: a. Customer can opt for exchange.
- b. Customer can opt for ‘Credit note’. A Credit note will be the same price as customer had spent to originally purchase the product. The receipt of the Credit Note will be handed over instantly to the customer, it can be redeemed within next 365 days No cash refunds will be issued.
Sale transactions which use vouchers will not be issued.
Transactions involving vouchers are not eligible for refunds.
7. Additional Notes
- Warranty support is intended to address genuine manufacturing defects only.
- PUMA reserves the right to amend or update this policy without prior notice.
- Decision of PUMA Sports India Pvt. Ltd. regarding warranty approval shall be final and binding.
- The courts at Bangalore shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the terms and conditions herein
